The maker in her atelier

About the Maker

Every piece begins at the table — with wool, felt, thread, patience, and a quiet idea.

My name is and I make small felt and wool objects from my home studio in Latvia. I don’t think of myself as a manufacturer — I am an artist-craftswoman whose joy is to create something tangible, warm, and personal. Each piece is made slowly, by hand, without hurry. If you see something here that resonates with you, know it was made with you in mind.

Made slowly. Made by hand. Made with love.

With love, Mamma

The Handmade Process

From wool fiber to your hands

01

Choosing the wool

Every piece begins with material — soft merino felt, carded wool, or a feeling that does not have a name yet.

02

Cutting the felt

The shape comes from one piece, not from a strict template. Every cut is slightly different, so every object becomes its own.

03

Shaping the form

With fingers and a little water, the felt gains volume — from a flat piece into a soft object.

04

Stitching by hand

A machine does not belong here. Every seam is handwork, made with thread that may be darker or lighter than the felt itself.

Finishing the details

The last details — a tiny thread, a small adjustment, an eye and hand check that everything feels right.

Wrapping with care

The piece is wrapped in soft paper, with ribbon and a small card, so the moment of receiving feels as gentle as the object itself.
